Name: Franklin D. Blackwell Dates: Birth date: March 4, 1933 Death date: July 31, 2012 Obituary: BLACKWELL – Franklin D. Blackwell, age 79, of Stratford entered eternal rest Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Danbury Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a resident of Stratford for forty-four years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Milford. Franklin was formerly employed with AVCO Lycoming (Textron) as a NC Programmer. Survivors include three sons, Eric Blackwell of Rhode Island, Michael Blackwell of Iowa, Kevin Blackwell of Nevada; three daughters, Lydia Blackwell of Woodbury; Jennifer Blue of Bethany; Monica Merritt of Middletown, NY; fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Visitation: Friends are invited to the viewing Friday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church. Service: Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Milford, 27 North Street, Milford, CT. Cemetery: Interment will take place immediately after the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT. |
