Brooks, age 65 of Branford formerly of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the CT Hospice in Branford, CT surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bridgeport, Laura resided in Bridgeport for twenty-five years and various other towns in the state until she finally landed in Branford where she has resided for the past thirty years.  She was a photographer with her own company LJ Brooks photography.  Laura was a member of Messiah Baptist Church and served on the Education Committee.  Survivors include her husband, Keith D. Brooks of Branford; a daughter, Kim L. Born in Lincolnton, GA, Robbie has been a resident of Bridgeport for nearly fifty-two years.  She was a home health aide and a former member of English Chapel Cathedral of Mircacles.  Her son Terrence Wideman predeceased her.  Survivors include her husband, Samuel Dear of Bridgeport; two sons, John F. Wideman of Bridgeport and Faheen L. Wideman of SC; two daughters, Catisha Collier of SC and Laykenya Dear of AL; her parents, Robert Dooley of SD and Dorothy Calhoun Wideman Wilson of Bridgeport; a brother, John F. Born in Bridgeport, Lisa was a life-long resident and graduated from Warren Harding High School and remained to become the office supervisor for Wilton Medical Associates.  She was a member of the East End Baptist Tabernacle Church.  Survivors include two sons, Chris and Lamont Johnson of NC; a daughter, Keisha (LaVaughne) Scales of Bridgeport; a brother, Alex Turner of Stratford; sister, Gloria Schoolfield of Bridgeport; eleven grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.  Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, 2013, 8:00 pm at East End Baptist Tabernacle Church, 548 Central Ave., Bridgeport with Rev. Dr. C.L. Stallworth, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will take place Tuesday, May 21, 2013 10:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.  Friends are invited to the viewing Monday from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church. She was a 5th grade student on the National Honor Society at St. James School in Stratford.  Tiarra was a member of Russell Temple C.M.E. Church where she participated in the Children&#039;s Choir, the Jr. Usher Board, the Praise Team and Sunday School.  She was also a dancer at the Connecticut Dance Conservatory in Stratford where she recently won 1st place in a dance competition in lyrical dance for her age group. Born in Greenwood, SC, Sallie moved to Bridgeport in 1942 and immediately joined Mt. Aery Baptist Church.  She participated in the Willing Workers of the church.  Sallie was a retired employee of General Electric with thirty-two years of service; she was also a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the GE Senior Club and a participant in the Ella Jackson Sr. Citizen Center.  Her husband Shepard Gordon, a daughter, Ola Mae Williams, eleven brothers and a sister predeceased her. He was a retiree from Voltarc Tubes Technologies with twenty-one years of service.  Alexander was one of the oldest members in terms of years of membership at the Cathedral of Faith Church of God where he served as a Deacon, member of the Pastor&#039;s Council and Board of Trustees. She was last employed as a teacher&#039;s aide at Dunbar Elementary School, Bridgeport and was a disciple of the First Baptist Church of Stratford where she served on the Diaconate Ministry and she was a participant in the foster grandparent program through the Board of Education. Boone predeceased her.
